“The Power Rangers stories and characters have been embraced by generations of audiences for more than 20 years, and today they are more powerful than ever,” Jon Feltheimer, chief executive officer at Lionsgate, said in a statement. Will this be morphenominal or just plain tank? We'll just have to wait and see. And I will watch this, mostly because I need the taste of Power Rangers Super Megaforce out of my mouth.
Yep, it's happening, the Power Rangers are going back to theaters! Lionsgate, the studio responsible for bringing The Hunger Games to the big screen is reportedly re-imagining the original 90's cast! No word yet if Kimberly is still going to be a whore and dump both Jason and Tommy again. From Entertainment Weekly:
It's no secret that (before Twilight completely ruined them) my favorite movie-monsters since childhood have always been vampires. That said, I never knew China was known for "classic 1980's vampire movies" as the description in the following video states, but if this trailer is any indicator to what I've been missing, I may just spend all my money hunting them down... Rigor Mortis is writer-director-producer Juno Mak's feature directorial debut and is co-produced by J-Horror icon Takashi Shimizu (Writer-director of the Ju-on/The Grudge movies). No mention of US release dates so...yeah...it still looks pretty! Thanks to my friend, Vincent, for pointing me in the direction of this trailer and making me wish I were Canadian. Again.
Try not to lose your minds, gay geeks and gaymers, but, painfully early this morning, Variety reported that Michael Fassbender is set to not just star but co-produce one of the highest praised video game series of (maybe) all time: Assassin's Creed! Fassbender is certainly no stranger to the fantashy/sci-fi genre, what with the recent success of Prometheus, let's not forget he's been in many an action-packed movie for the geeks such as X-Men: First Class, Haywire (I admit I didn't like that as much as I hoped to), Inglourious Basterds, Jonah Hex (no need to tell me this one sucked), the UK TV series Hex, and, of course, 300. He's proved with his latest successes
that audiences love watching his large wiener him, so here's to hoping this will be the beginning of incredible movies based on video games (or need I remind us of Prince of Persia and Max Payne?)
In the meantime, while we wait for the movie, Assassin's Creed III hits stores October 30th! Watch and play, won't you? And, like me, pretend it's just Michael Fassbender with his gloriously ginger beard as you touch yourself for the whole game!
We get a millisecond of Catwoman being all ass-kicky in this new HD trailer! SQUEEEE!!!
Depending on who you ask, you're going to end up getting a different answer. The question generally remains the same, though...
Is Ridley Scott's Prometheus a prequel to the Alien movies?I've seen this answered with a resounding NO, then a MAYBE, then (mostly from fans and "supposed" crew on the film) YES. Whatever it may or may not be, with a Prometheus viral in full effect (note Guy Pearce there), you have to admit it looks pretty damn good so far. Include a stunning cast (enter Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender) and Scott's director cap secure on his head and we've got what promises to be a good movie. The first trailer didn't really reveal much but now there's a second international trailer. Though the question remains unanswered, you can definitely see similarities between the two and we have a SLIGHTLY better understanding of what the film's about. Will you watch?

The second X-Men: First Class trailer has been released! It starts off much the same as the previous teasers and trailers have but the new scenes start about a quarter of the way through the trailer! Banshee was never much on my radar but MAN he looks cooler with every new trailer! Follow @harveywalker Follow @ClosetCaseRoman
Here we go again, another X-Men movie! I love 'em, though! Even that abomination better known as X-Men: The Last Stand (I mean...zombie-Phoenix? WTF!?), I'm a sucker for bad ass ladies, what can I say.
Bitterness of the third film aside, Bryan Singer (an openly gay man, I might add) comes back to the X-Men franchise only wearing a writer hat and not writer/director like he did in the first two films (having left to shoot the tragic Superman Returns). This time taking us back in time with X-Men: First Class. So, what are we in store for this time around? According to Twentieth Century Fox: Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN. My hopes are up for this movie! Not only do we get to experience the blossoming relationship between the Professor and Magneto, but where it fell apart as well!
